I’m a bit behind on my OLW project but that is no surprise.  I have never completely completed a scrapbook before, oh how I have tried.  However, I do have oodles of written journals.  In an effort this year to reignite my creative spark I am attempting to do new things.

January and February Reflections

The definition of Energy(I can’t remember which dictionary I got it from) is the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.  The word I liked the best from the thesaurus was Liveliness.  Of course to Live!  I want to refocus on positives and implement changes to do that.  I liked the idea of the scrapbook of ideas on my olw as a visual I could always return too.

Following Alie Edwards on line course and examples I have divided the focus into the categories: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Relationships, and Creative.  In reflecting I have included my home energy within the Physical category and Family energy within relationships.
I have decided that I want:
More Energy——————-Less tired
More Just doing it————-Less worrying about outcomes
More Action——————–Less excuses
More Family Connections—–Less disconnection
More Softness——————Less tightness
More Moving——————-Less sitting
More Enjoying the process—Less perfection on finished product

I am currently making the action plan page
Action Plans:
1.  Meal Plan for Healthier eating for everyone.
I have never been a meal planner.  Hmm.  What do I want to eat tonight?  Whatever I feel like at the time.  As my kids have now gotten older and attend activities and have homework my time around dinner is very valuable and I have to be better organized.  I started meal planning by the week in January and it has decreased my stress around this difficult time of the day.  This is my most successful action plan so far.
2.  Drink More Water
This one has always been something I continue to work on.  I’m trying to focus on drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning and then my cup of coffee.  It is a simple change but one that I have to be very conscious about.  I also use drinking a glass of water as mindfulness check through out the day.  Work in progress.
3.  Find More Quiet Me Time
Usually at night when kids are sleeping.  I’m trying to go back to my reading before bed.  Most nights it is working except those nights I get distracted my iPad.
4.  Daily Writing in a Gratitude Journal
This has become a habit now and so impacting my positive energy everyday.  Hmm.  Should include visuals into the scrapbook.  I’m so bad at printing photos out.  Here is my previous post on developing a gratitude journal practice and some resources to help.
5.  Declutter Home
This is a huge one which is ongoing everyday, every week, month and through the year.  Spring cleaning is always a good time so I’m looking forward to really tackling this one.
6.  Yoga Practice
I was going but not anymore.  Trying now to start a home ritual and one which I include my daughter as she seems to love doing yoga.
7.  Date Night Once a Month
I need to plan these.  Or it will not happen.

8.  Activity Every Day

This is probably the most difficult action plan as I have never been a very active person.  I prefer my tea and books.  I do have 3 kids and they are pretty active so as spring and summer approach I know I will be walking, bike riding and connecting outside with nature a lot more.  It is the winter that is always where things slow down.  Even now I don’t really know where to start with this one.  A daily walking schedule?  Gym membership?  Sport?  Dancing?  Babysitters?  Money?  Will have to look for no cost and no babysitter needed I think.  I know I need to expend energy to get energy.

9.  Write/Create Something Everyday

I also feel like this is ambitious goal. I need more of a plan for this one.  Although I am writing or creating at least once a week.

If you are taking part in OLW project I would love to connect with you.  I’m not a scrapbooker (is that a noun?) but I am liking the visual aspect of this project.  You can also connect with me on Twitter.

Cheers,
Bonnie
